Just came up on some race fuel, no biggie

This was right before I left for my san Diego trip. I kept on getting hot, and the car would overheat. Turned out to be some loose connections between the radiator and the thermostat. So I replaced the thermostat with a colder one to keep temperatures down, while also using a napa hose in order to get the massive radiator to fit in conjunction with the thermostat positioning and the turbocharger.

Decided to clean up some of the engine bay metal pieces that are just sitting around. gott the soap nddd water...

Got the 666 Manifold in.... It actually looks like it is designed for this car....

NOt sure what to use the two little screw in ports on the side of the manifold for however. Maybe EGT sensors?

Here The External WAstegate is in place. I will be getting an atmospheric dump pretty soon from the exhaust shop.  I will also Brace in this wastegate so that it wont be prone to breaking.


Now The turbo is in place, and I redid the Intercooler piping.  Much cleaner, and much simpler.  LEss distance for the air to move as well..

June 13th Destruction

So, After my new Manifold came in, and absolutely no shops in Davis could do the install, I decided to beast mode it in the sun without the correct tools for the job, or a lift.  But hesitate not! I think I got lucky.

The main problem that prevented me intially from doing the job myself is the exhaust system is one piece.  I figured that It would be nearly impossible to move the downpipe in order to move the manifold.  But after  an hour of wiggling and moving, and forcing the damn thing to adjust I managed to get enough room to loosen the bolts and remove the broken manifold for the new one.

Just A lil Six pack for me and my buddy to combat the Summer sun.

2002 Turbo Update

So To start this summer I did some cleaning of the 2002 build, got the Euro turn Signal lenses ready to go in. I will do some searching to find out what bulbs I should find, or what works best.. etc.

I did Also do some Engine Fuel line tucking to start...  This was merely a mock up. I plan to find some 90 Deg Fittings to make it look straight, and also a bracket would be pretty cool as well to clean it all up... So far my focus is to get it looking nice while the parts come.
